Cindy Carter has been with us over two years and is one of our Technical Writers. Cindy’s main responsibilities at TRC are reviewing and updating our training solutions for compliance related issues. Additionally, Cindy has played a large role in the development of scenarios for our new product line, First Line of Defense…Fraud Detection and Loss Prevention Challenge™.

Prior to joining TRC Interactive, Cindy worked in the banking industry for 25 years. She held nearly every front line position, from teller to branch manager. Cindy stepped back from banking when her children were born; but as they grew older, she wanted to get back into the industry. “The opportunity with TRC was such a good fit for me.”

Cindy’s favorite part of the job is the maze known as the world of compliance. “Who would have ever have thought anyone could actually enjoy compliance? Well, I do. New regulations and regulation changes are like solving a puzzle. It can be very interesting.”

First Line of Defense™ has also been very enjoyable for Cindy as it allows her to draw on her many years of banking experience. Yet, another reason Cindy loves her job is that, “TRC is truly a wonderful company to work for. Their flexibility and understanding is incredible. It isn’t like working for a company; it is much more like a family.”

When Cindy is not busy updating courses or creating new scenarios, she spends most of her time with her two wonderful teenage daughters. Cindy also has a dog that is her constant companion. NASCAR is also one of Cindy’s favorite things. “Who would ever suspect that a conservative banker would be a huge NASCAR fan? My father is also a big fan and to this day, he is my favorite race buddy!”
