Trainer Spotlight Featuring… Becky Bowers from Bank of Bartlett

Teller Trainers are the backbone of retail banking, so in this issue of our eNewsletter we are featuring Becky Bowers, Training Director and Vice President from Bank of Bartlett in Bartlett, TN.

When asked what she loves most about being a bank trainer, her response was, “The Training Department has the opportunity to meet all the new employees of the Bank. This is our chance to share the Bank’s vision and what we are all about.”

Becky’s career in banking started 13 years ago and she joined Bank of Bartlett in Bartlett, Tennessee 12 years ago. She has advanced through the organization holding positions such as Teller, Customer Service Representative, Branch Manager, Lender, and is currently Training Director and Vice President. Becky’s dedication to helping associates advance in the banking industry and her desire to see them succeed led her and Bank of Bartlett to incorporate TellerSolution ~ Multimedia Teller Training Program® into their curriculum. “Training tellers can be a challenge because of the turnover in that particular job. We have found that using this product makes our job easier. We can use it with our new hires before they actually start at a branch and it gives them a great background of the basics. We love it.”

At Bank of Bartlett all newly hired tellers take TellerSolution ~ Multimedia Teller Training Program® their first two days of training. This is a great way for new employees that have never been a teller before to start learning ALL the basics of being a teller. It also gives new employees that are seasoned tellers a chance to review all their current skills. “We currently teach a classroom teller class for all new tellers but since we have already used the TellerSolution, we can spend the classroom time on more complex issues that are specific to our bank,” which makes their tellers more educated and better to serve the customers.

Becky’s and her husband, Chris’, lives are filled with their two daughters, Hannah, 5, and Caroline, 7. She says that they do not have time for anything else because they want to be with their daughters and experience their childhood with them.
