Faces of TRC Interactive
Lorie St. Lawrence is celebrating 21 years with TRC Interactive as of June of 2007! During her years with TRC, she was a developer participating in the creation of some of the earliest computer based learning modules that TRC did for companies like Marine Midland Bank (now HSBC). As the years progressed, she became the Development Manager overseeing the graphic designers, developers, and programmers as the computer based and web based learning business grew at TRC.
Most recently, her responsibility has been to be Project Manager of the custom projects for large financial institutions. Citibank, Washington Mutual, M&T Bank, are only a few of the super banks she was worked with. The most recent project was a large and challenging one, as the PM for RBC Centura’s system and culture change. RBC Centura, in an effort to grow its market share in the U.S., needed to install new systems for Teller Transactions, Sales & Service account opening and maintenance, and Loan System. We provided Web Based Learning to the tellers, sales and service representatives, as well as the lenders that provided them practice and mastery on the new system. In addition, one and two-day classroom training accompanied the WBL. The combination of training approaches will provide the learners the system application practice, mastery and comfort they need, while managing the human side of the change too.
In addition to project management, she is also the sales consultant to the larger banks for more customized training needs. The years of experience in developing training, managing the development department and now project managing these projects allows her to provide a solution to customers from a better perspective than someone who is just selling a product or service.
She has a son, Jeremy, who is 21 and is in college majoring in business. He has shown a passion for Missions and spent much of last summer in Europe on a mission trip and will be going to New Orleans on a mission trip in July to help with Katrina clean-up that is still ongoing.
Lorie and her husband, Mitch, just celebrated their fourth anniversary. He is a retail environment consultant for a design/build company that builds and renovates banks and credit unions. They met at the BAI Conference nine years ago.
From all of us at TRC Interactive, we thank Lorie for her dedication, expertise, technical knowledge, hard work, and willingness to do all we can to meet the clients’ needs!
