Creative Training Ideas Contest: And the Winners are…

This year marks the 5th Anniversary of TRCInteractive’s online training programs: BankTrainingOnline® and CreditUnionTrainingOnline®!
During that time, the feedback, comments and suggestions we’ve received
from our customers, has been invaluable. Since they’ve been so good at
sharing their ideas with us, we thought they might enjoy the opportunity to
share their ideas with other Trainers… and win something in the process!
So, during the month of May, we held our first annual Creative Training Ideas contest looking for the most creative ways subscribers have incorporated BankTrainingOnline® or CreditUnionTrainingOnline® courses into their training programs. The responses we received were outstanding!
We are pleased to announce that the following financial institutions are our top winners…
Chartway Federal Credit Union: 21 Days to Sales Excellence (Platinum Award) This program is built around the concept that it takes 21 days to make a habit, so the goal is to develop exceptional sales skills in employees within that timeframe. Each day, participants work through a program guide with a four-step procedure including: Self-Reflection Activity, Review of Study Guide, Completion of eLearning Module and Exam, Completion of Commitment Sheet. BLC Community Bank: Compliance Training Program (Gold Award) All employees are given a schedule of what compliance course(s) need to be completed during each month. The same topic is covered by all employees in order to answer questions and hold discussions at weekly staff meetings. Study Guides for each course are printed and handed out just before a new course is scheduled to begin. In order to keep compliance training fun and interesting, during some of the months, a little surprise post-it note is placed into the pages of the Study Guides which simply says “If you find this note, bring it to me and redeem it for a prize.” When redeemed, he/she receives a small gift of cash, candy, etc. and kudos for the commitment they demonstrated by using the Study Guides and completing the course so early in the month. High Desert FCU: Stakeholders Bonus Plan (Silver Award) The amount of cash payout at the end of the year depends on how well High Desert FCU has performed over that year. Because some employees play a more active part in the results than others, we’ve instituted required online training courses that must be done to receive 100% of their payout. If an employee completes the set of classes under the certification list, they get a certificate with an announcement at the monthly meetings. Program details
Chartway Federal Credit Union: Compliance Training Program (Bronze Award) This program offers 100% automated compliance training to employees, by role in order to refresh the staff’s knowledge of the very important laws that regulate the organization. Each employee receives a customized workbook that explains how the program works and the main points and ideas that they need to be focused on as they work through the courses. Program details
