Breakers - Guess What?
This ice breaker requires two noise makers and potential prizes for the winning team. A fun ice breaker is to tell the group that they are going to gather into two teams for a competition. Randomly assign the group to a team, and position them at opposite ends of the room. Tell the teams that you will give them an assignment, and the first team to complete the assignment gets a point. As a leader, you can decide how many points a team needs to win, and what prize, if any, is assigned to the winner. The game has the most energy and benefit when the assignments are things like, “The team that can write the team members’ house pets’ names in the shortest amount of time,” or “The team that had the most interesting jobs prior to the ones they currently have.” Anything from your financial institution or community will work for this ice breaker. It will cause a lot of commotion and energy, and is generally fun. You can also use this ice breaker to bring energy back to your class to start off an afternoon, or during a particularly difficult period. |
