Heather Ferguson of Fidelity Federal Bank & Trust

Teller Trainers are the backbone of retail banking, so in this issue of our eNewsletter we are featuring Heather Ferguson, Director of Training for Fidelity Federal Bank & Trust, West Palm Beach, FL.

When asked what she loves most of about being a bank trainer, her response was, “Seeing associates succeed, advance, and make a career in banking.” Heather’s career in banking started 16 years ago when she joined Fidelity Federal Bank & Trust. She has advanced through the organization holding positions such as Teller, Financial Services Representative, Customer Service Supervisor, Public and Shareholder Relations Coordinator, Training Manager, and has been the Director of Training since 2000.

Heather’s dedication to helping associates advance in the banking industry and her desire to see them succeed led her and Fidelity Federal Bank & Trust to incorporate TellerSolution ~ Multimedia Teller Training Program® into their curriculum. “Although we originally thought that TellerSolution® would be beneficial for only associates who were new to banking,” says Heather, “we have found that it is a good review even for experienced bankers.” They have found that TellerSolution® is a great way to refresh the knowledge of their seasoned employees and has even been able to teach them a thing or two. “TellerSolution® provides basic and fundamental knowledge,” notes Ms. Ferguson, “and better prepares new associates for classroom and/or branch training.”

In her leisure time, Heather enjoys watching her son, Ryan age 4, play Tee Ball and Tae Kwon Do. She along with her husband, Dean, enjoys visiting Disney World as often as possible and spending time with family and friends.
