Bonnie Riccaboni, Compliance Officer, East Penn Bank

Teller Trainers are the backbone of retail banking, so in this issue of our eNewsletter we are featuring Bonnie Riccaboni, Compliance Officer for East Penn Bank in Emmaus, PA.

When asked what she loves most of about being a bank trainer, her response was, “I love to teach. When employees understand why they are doing something, they do it better and with less stress. I feel like I am helping them to improve when I am training them on the requirements of the banking regulations, our policies and procedures.”

For the last year and a half, Bonnie and East Penn Bank integrated BankTrainingOnline® into their training program. “It provides consistent training to all employees as well as a tracking system,” says Bonnie. “It also measures their understanding and comprehension through the grading provided. BankTrainingOnline® is presented in an easy to understand format.” Whether it's during a compliance committee meeting where they use BankTrainingOnline® to train as a group, or individual employee training sessions to stay current with all the regulations, or orientation for new employees, BankTrainingOnline® has been “very helpful” in providing consistent, up-to-date, and cost-effective training for East Penn’s staff.

In her leisure time, Bonnie enjoys gardening, reading and bicycling. She and her husband, Jeb, have two children and have just recently become grandparents. Their grandson is 8 months old. Congrats, Bonnie!
