Teller Trainers are the backbone of retail banking, so in this issue of our eNewsletter we are featuring Angie Vollhaber, Director of Learning and Development for Associated Healthcare Credit Union in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Angie originally started working in the financial industry as a way to put herself through college. “20 years later, I have my degrees and am still in the industry.”
When asked what she loves most about her job, Angie said, “The challenge of persuading people to achieve more than what they thought they were originally capable of doing and being. I love watching the empowerment take hold in an individual – the moment the internal light bulb changes to a 100-watt and they know the doors are blown wide open…they can do anything. It’s a rush of freedom and potential.”
What initially led Angie and Associated Healthcare Credit Union to incorporate CreditUnionTrainingOnline® into their curriculum was the affordability. “It just can’t be beat. Subsequently, the program's tracking capabilities and follow-up tools that ensure learning is taking place are a wonderful surprise.”
In her free time, Angie loves to play with her three children, read, vacation where it’s warm, attend theological debates, and scrapbook. “I’ll try just about anything – once.”
Angie believes that the best aspect of CreditUnionTrainingOnline® is “that the company (TRC Interactive) is taking feedback directly from its clients and doing modifications based on the client’s needs and is one of the reasons that this company stands above the rest. The fact that they do this each month and quarter instead of years down the road is nothing shy of amazing!”
