Amy Neely began working at TRC about two and half years ago and is our Senior Instructional Designer. She determines learning objectives, evaluates learners’ existing knowledge and experience, and she designs training programs that will efficiently and effectively achieve the desired learning outcomes. In addition, Amy is responsible for coordinating the other instructional designers and writers when the need arises.
Amy obtained her Bachelor of Education degree from West Chester University and her Master of Education degree from Saint Josephs University. She went on to teach seventh graders for five years and from there went to work at several different technology companies over a period of another five years. Her duties included implementation, project management, and training.
After years of web development with the technology companies, Amy met Jeff, her future husband, through a mutual friend. They fell in love and Amy moved to Harrisburg where he lived. That is when she found TRC and has been with us ever since. “I love what I do. It’s the perfect fit for me. Moving from project to project gives me a lot of variety. I work with great people both in the office and through the projects to which I’m assigned. Instructional design is so much fun; when a project begins and is all spread out and a little bit crazy and I can organize it and help put it into the little packages that become our training modules.”
Amy lives with Jeff and her 13 year old step-daughter, Lexi. She has three sisters and one identical twin that all live in Philadelphia along with Amy’s eight nieces and nephews.
When it’s nice and warm outside, Amy enjoys swimming, biking, hiking, baseball and going to the beach. Amy really dislikes the cold so when it’s warm she’s up to just about anything as long as it involves soaking up some sunshine.
From all of us at TRC Interactive, we thank Amy for her dedication, expertise, technical knowledge, hard work, and willingness to do all we can to meet the clients’ needs!
