Chartway Federal Credit Union:
21 Days to Sales Excellence

Platinum Award

Welcome to 21 Days to Sales Excellence Program!

It has been said that it takes 21 days to make a habit, so this concept will be used to increase the organization’s sales effectiveness. For the next three weeks employees will journey through training modules and exercises intended to develop sales ability, enhance the Members’ overall experience at Chartway and increase the employee’s income.

Format of the training program

The program has two parts, self-directed and classroom. The self-directed portion is a combinationof self-reflection, eLearning and on-the-job skill practice. The self-directed training tasks will be completed prior to branch opening or department start time so that the learning can be applied the very day that the training assignment is completed.

At the beginning of the shift, employees will invest approximately 30 minutes completing the self-directed training. The training consists of:

  1. Self-Reflection Activity – respond to a series of questions (5 min.)
  2. Read Study Guide (5 min.)
  3. eLearning Module and Exam (15 min.)
  4. Commitment Sheet - commitment to apply the information (5 min.)

After the self-directed portion of the program is complete, employees will attend a one-day workshop where the skills gained by employees during the self-directed learning will be showcased. The one-day, hands-on workshop will assist employees in solidifying the sales skills. Employees will also gain additional insight into the importance and value of the sales process to assist with goalachievement.

Program Timeline

Employees will begin the first module after thecompanion guide is received and will have three weeksto complete the self-directed portion of the program. Once the self-directed program is complete, employees will receive an Outlook appointment outlining the date, time and location of the hands-on workshop.

Training Support & Contacts

If employees need help with:

  1. Training material, contact Training Support
  2. eLearning module technical issues, contact Information Technology
  3. General concerns (time, expectations, etc.), contact direct Supervisor

BLC Community Bank:
Compliance Training Program
Gold Award

All employees are given a schedule of what compliance course(s) need to be completed during each month. The same topic is covered by all employees in order to answer questions and hold discussions at weekly staff meetings. Study Guides for each course are printed and handed out just before a new course is scheduled to begin.

In order to keep compliance training fun and interesting, some months a little surprise post-it note is placed into the pages of the Study Guides which simply says “If you find this note, bring it to me and redeem it for a prize.” When redeemed, he/she receives a small gift of cash, candy, etc. and kudos for the commitment they demonstrated by using the Study Guides and completing the course so early in the month.

Chartway Federal Credit Union:
Compliance Training Program

Bronze Award

Welcome to Compliance Training!

It’s that time of year again; time to refresh your knowledge of the very important laws that regulate our organization. This year you will be able to complete the required compliance training from the comfort of your workstations on a timeline that fits your busy schedule. Let’s take a closer look at Compliance Training.

What is Compliance Training?

Compliance Training is intended for all employees of the Credit Union. There are several rules and regulations that you must be aware of in order to meet local and national legal requirements.

What is the purpose of Compliance Training?

The purpose of the training is to educate you on the rules and regulations that govern our Credit Union. You will then be able to apply this knowledge to your department to ensure compliance with the regulations.

What is the format of the training session?

The training will be delivered to you via eLearning modules on your personal computer. You will simply log in to the TRC Interactive web site and complete the modules that have been assigned to you. You will also be expected to pass the knowledge exam for each assigned course with a score of 80% or greater. If you do not pass the test the first time, you will be allowed to re-take the module and the exam.

To support you in successfully completing the exams and taking notes, this eLearning Companion Guide was developed. The Companion Guide lists supporting information for each of your assigned modules, as well as instructions for accessing the eLearning modules.

What is the time line for completing the required Compliance Training?

You can begin to take the required compliance modules on December 6th. The deadline for completing all of the assigned modules is no later than December 31st.

Who can I contact for help with Compliance Training?

If you need help with:

  1. Compliance Training, contact Training Support
  2. Technical issues related to the eLearning modules, contact IT
  3. Chartway compliance policies/concerns, contact your direct Supervisor

Summary

While the responsibility for completing training belongs to each employee, the Training Team will be here to support you. A computer training room has been reserved for Virginia and Texas employees who are unable to complete the eLearning modules from their workstation. A list of the available dates, times and number of seats can be found on the spreadsheet.

A Training Team member will also be available to answer any questions that you may have on the required compliance training.

Tracking Compliance Training

The eLearning system will automatically track the modules that you complete and record the test score for the Training Team so that Chartway has an accurate training record for compliance purposes.

It is recommended that you use the tracking chart below to keep track of the modules that you have completed, including the date and passing score. Once you have completed all of the assigned modules, please share the tracking sheet with your direct manager so that they can recognize your accomplishment.
